Hologrammed

Who ever thought that Tupac Amaru Shakur would be a guest/"ghost" appearance at the Coachella festival longside Snoop Dogg on stage, performing two of his so many hits.

Momma of Shakur thought it was powerfull yet bittersweet.
And to me it felt the same.

As a lil girl I was a huge fan of Tupac, creating my own scratchbooks with pictures off him and interviews.
It was a big shock to me, hearing that he was killed ( something i still don't understand) so seeing this "performance" on youtube, brought tears to my eyes.

That being said:
The person who invented this Hologram gave a whole new perspective of how to project something that's bigger then ourselves.
He gave the "old ones" in the game a flashback and the ones who never knew Tupac a glimps of a legendary performance. Something that they, unfortunately, will never see again.

Furthermore:
There are rumors about a concert full of Holograms.
Big artists like Michael Jackson, James Brown, Rick James and others will appear.
I don't feel this idea at all..
I'm not going to pay a amount to see projectors on stage. Not only is that strange, it's scary and it's disrespectfull towards the family.

So long live Tupac, but not like this!

For those who haven't heard it yet?
Don't download the album, just BUY it!

This album is coordinated by succes itself, starting from number 1 till 15!
You have "ballads", Clubbangers, Anthem's and even loungy type of music. Something i can defenitly put on in the car, here on the Islands.

I can't even choose my favorites cause they all are but there is one song on the album that reaches my heart and makes me think about the ones i've lost and that is DC or Nothing

Treyvon Martin's Case

Fear Kills, Love heals..
That's the motto Young Americans live by nowadays..

Alot of y'all are aware of the tragic case of Treyvon Martin.
An afro-american guy, seventheen years of age, went to the 7/11 to buy some skittles and  had the intention to head back home to watch the game with his father.
A volunteer watcher felt that this young boy acted suspicious so therefore called the police to report him.
Which is fine, cause you have the right to do so.
After reporting him and getting police advice not to pursue the following, George Zimmerman kept on following him.
Minutes later, Treyvon Martin, was dead.

A few things about this case are bothering me.

First of all The police enforcement
After arresting George Zimmerman two police officers went over to Treyvon's house, asking the father if the person who was killed, was his son.
The father was in shock, offcourse. The shock quickly turned into anger and dazzlement. The officers talked about his son as if it was his fault getting killed.
The police department did, at one point, not even want to reveal the taped phone call between Zimmerman and the callcenter. Why not?
They released Zimmerman because it was self defence and in Miami that is enforced by law.

Second of all George Zimmerman
He became a volunteer at the watchpetrol because of all the roberies that took place in his neighbourhood.

First a background check.
This man has a police record for offending a police officer and a restraining order his ex girlfriend put on him because he was beating her!

Let's continue..
That night he saw a guy with a hoodie on acting suspicious. He called the police and informed them about this. They were asking him all sort of questions, which he answered with rage. Saying things like " THEY always get away and " fucking cooners".. The police officer asked Zimmerman if  he was following him, he answered yess! They did not want him to do so, so he said he wouldn't.
Why the hell did he pursue the following!
During his detainment he said it was selfdefence. Treyvon was beating him with one fist, the other hand was on his mouth so he couldn't scream.
Note: police officers "confirmed" that Zimmerman had a broken nose, blood on the back of his head and grassmarks on his clothes.
Strange thing about this is that on a video where he was taking in to custody he was clean as a whistle! No scrathes, blood, nothing!

What bothers me the most:
Treyvon Martin was literaly fighting for his life!
He was even running from him!
Neighbours heard a young boy screaming for help! Eventhough nobody actually saw what happend? We all were withnesses.

Now what do they do in the media?
Posting pictures of Treyvon with his middle fingers up, with a golden grill or posting tweets of him where he's using bad words.. Does that ever compare with the fact that he was killed? Does all this come close to the fact that he is no longer breathing? No it doesn't.

So on my part George Zimmerman is already guilty!
May the Grand Jury and Judge sentence this man with his life!

Mindless behaviour

These guys really remind me of the good old boybands like IMX and Immature..

4 young boys with a vision, good talents and good team behind them, working their asses off getting the work done!!

I just hope this will last!!

Check them out

MMG!!!

In love with this song!!

Why do men love FAKE ASS

Where white women would go to the gym because their buts are too fat, we black women would flunt with it in an extra tight yellow legging lol.
And i have to be very honest to myself if i say that i'm proud of what my momma gave me BUT...
our society, let's light it out?!, OUR MEN are getting out of hand..

Celebrity's like Nicky Minaj make it popular to pop an injection in the butt cheeks just to get that "60, 90, 60" figure.. but what do they forget? It's not only fake as hell ( i'm not hating) it's also dangerous! You can actually end up paralized and in worst cases dead!

So to all the men..
Don't think like a dummy and act like a retard..
If you don't want your girl to have fake weaves and other fake shit you disguss, don't encourage fake asses!
It can get us killed!

Thanks for nothing Nicky

I HEART YOU

Life is difficult and somethimes things happen that you just don't understand..

One of those things in life is death..

The last few years we've had some remarkable funerals like Michael Jackson and the recent passing of, what i call a true legend, Whitney Houston. But what gives me the chills are the passings off the young people..

What is going on?
No, what is really going on?
Young people take life of others or themselves..
I just can't seem to understand what it is that is going on but it feels like death is coming really close and keeps us in this spiral of negativity and lost hope.

I hear alot of people saying "you only live once" or "live life the fullest"..
Well, i take those quotes to heart!

Don't forget your peoples, don't forget to call them every know and then and actually tell 'm how you feel..
You know what? Just tell them you love 'm and how much you really care about them.

Before you know it, your loved ones are gone and no longer reachable!
& living with sorrow, regrets or guilt is a burden you don't want to go one with.

Rest in peace to those i've lost!
Love to all off those who are close to me.

J.

Social feed

Two weeks ran by and i've missed one of the few important moments of the year. Because of that i have to dedicate this post to one of my besties, Ladonna Danso, who turned 26 yesterday!!

My beautifull friend had a blast as she started of her birthday week at Club Vie in Rotterdam.
The following day her  colleagues surprised her with her favorite band, La Rouge, where she dominated the dancefloor! I'm sure that she'll party hard, YBF style, cause we defenitly know how to do it!

I've already given you my wishes but since the week is still young  i'll do it again:

God works in misterious ways..
Not only has he created a leader, but He also gave me a sister!

We have moments of laughter, pain, shines and shadows but we still stand strong!

Therefore, i'm not only wishing you all the best for this year but for all the years to come, cause i will be there to withness it all!

Love you!

The first day of my future

I have been planning to do my internship on the beautifull island, Curacao (also known as The Netherlands Antilles) for a long time now. Most of the people i talked with didn't take my dream that serious, so therefore i took the opportunity in full speed and made it work.

My flight was booked for monday 13th and as normal i was very nervous and sad about leaving my loved ones.
I arrived at the airport and started to check in my luggage. As i knew my suitcases were to heavy so i had to take stuff out and put it in my handluggage. Everything went well, so i walked back towards my mom who was waithing for me on the sideline. On the sideline we've noticed that there was alot of commotion, realizing that there was a bomb detected.
Local news quickly arrived and it started to look really serious.
The stupid man that started this hot mess was a crazy fool who claimed to have a bomb on him, just because he did not want to pay for his croissant.
On my behalf i want to thank you for all the BS that came along with your stupid action.

I had to waith for two hours before i could enter the airplane and because of that the airplane had an delay for almost two hours.

But you know what, a rocky beginning doesn't mean a rocky end.
I came home safe and i feel home.

To all my people i would like to say: I simply love all of you and we will skype!!!!

Sincerely Yours,

Moi

Frassboss

I'm very proud to say that my parents are from the Caribean.
Caribean people love to eat, listen to music and dance alot.
We hardly worry about things and take life once at the time.

Reggae and Dancehall is a genre which is getting popular in the Netherlands.
Think about artists like Maikal X, Young Cashino and such..
The artist i'm focusing on right now is Kalibwoy also known as the Frassboss!

It was kinda difficult to get through to him because of all of the projects he's busy with but hey the Frasboss always makes time for moi LOL.

Check out the interview below:

LJ: What does music mean to you? describe this in three words
KB: It's my all
LJ: When did you start making music?
KB: I lived in Surinam for a year. After i came back from my trip i started to write and freestyle with friends. That's how Kalibwoy came alive.
LJ: What do you think about the Dutch Hip-hop and Reggae scene?
KB: I believe that it's growing really fast right now. There are some artists out there who took the scene to a whole nother level but it's still underrated. Give it three years time and it will change dramaticly and get the props that we deserve.
LJ: Which artist inspires you the most?
KB:Sizzla, Vybz Kartel and DMX
LJ: What makes you unique from other reggae artists?
KB: LOL, I don't know. I just work hard and do what i'm best at. I do believe that it's unique how i make my music. I'm from Surinam and i do dancehall music like the yardies dem yazimi.
LJ: What can we expect to hear/see from you?
KB: A lot of music videos coming out and new music material for this year. I have 2 projects ready to be launched and it's just the start.
LJ: What else would you like to share?
KB: Big up yourself and everybody who supports you.

Lejeer & Kalibwoy

Kalibwoy has made a statement and started to be a household name in the music scene!
Keep on doing you.

You got my support.

One of a kind

I have been soo busy with all sorts of projects that i can savely say that time haven't been my bestest friend. In the moments that i didn't post anything i have experienced alot of wonderfull things. Offcourse i will update you all about a group that has a lot to offer in the future.

One of a kind is a music group formed by strong woman who are very talented.
Danielle - one of the members - is a close friend of mine and introduced me to these girls.
They have no music material yet but the group has alot to bring and they are very serious.
So serious, that they choose to do a photoshoot, just for the world to know that "One of a kind" is coming out big!
I'm very proud of these girls.
They work hard and i believe in my heart that they will deliver.

I consider the few friends that I have as family.
They are very special to me and inspire me everyday to be better and better in the things that i do.

This girl, Ashlee Janelle Danso, is like my little sister and i'm very proud of her.
She started a stylingworkshop a year ago and she has been succesfull ever since.

She has a base of professionals "working" under her, to get the job done well and there isn't a single person who can't say she's a hard worker.

First Edition

Last month she had her second end presentation and - as always - it was more then a succes. It was very crowded but everybody who attend the annual brought along a good mood.
