Innecent until proven ...

As you all know i support talent from Dutch (hiphop) soil. I feel that my blogg gives these (upcoming)artists a stage to express themselves and that's the main reason i place these "interviews"
I have to say that the Dutch hiphop scene has been playin it safe for the last 5 to 10 years. Luckly, we have artists like Zwartlicht, Gikkels, Dret & Krulle, Adonis and much more big names as such we can count as pioneers for the scene.

In the last few years we had a lot of upcoming artists breakthroughs but the one that stands out the most is Innecent.I have been following this guy for a while and he has been putting out a lot of good music.
His mixtape, "Tijd, kennis en kracht", went in well and he had a few new (internet) releases like "op reis" and "terugreis".
What makes
Innecent different to me is that he has more ambitions than just "rapping". He's in school followin a fashion course. He posted a picture of a well made jacket and skirt on twitter #mode. You can call him talented in different angles right?

Eventhough he has a very busy schedule, he took the time to do this interview, wich you can read below:

LJ: What does music mean to you? Can you describe this feeling in three words?IN: Passion, Feelings, Emotions
LJ: When did you start making music?IN: I start making music at the age of seventeen. The more i listened to my voice and skills, the more i realised how much i really enjoy making music.
LJ: What do you think about the Dutch hip-hop scene?IN: I'm not really looking at the development of the Dutch hip-hop scene. I have been told by others that there aren't alot of rappers who can keep up with me and the things i bring "on the table"
LJ: Which artist inspires you the most? Multible answers are possibleIN: Most people admire a person -starting from a young age- or have a idol. I never had a idol. My inspiration sources are the people who surround me. Besides that, it is the lifetime experiences that made me who i am right now.
LJ: What makes you different from the other young hip-hop artists?IN: What i can say is that I’m the first Dutch rapper who sold 500 mix tapes in three weeks without even having a fan base. For an upcoming artist, that's an achievement and therefore that makes me stand out from the rest.
LJ: You dropped a few new things the last couple of weeks. How did others respond to your work?IN: I received a lot of responses on my last video of the track called "terugreis" which featured Rasskulz. Because of the last video a lot of people are patiently waiting on the next videoclip called "Aankomst" which also was in collaboration with Rasskulz of Gooise Goons.
LJ: What can we expect to see/hear from you? (any projects, albums etc)IN: The year 2012 will be a good one. Music wise i got a lot of stuff ready and you can definitely expect a lot of new video material.
Next year you can expect a lot of footage on the internet, so stay tuned!!!
LJ: What else would you like to share?IN: Take a look at the website www.fnf-online.com
There you can find all of my music, videos and pictures.

I admire him for his work ethic.
He works hard and delivers.
For the year 2012 i wish you a good and healthy carreer!

Chaos fashion show

If there is something that is common worldwide, it is fashion.
My beautifull Island, The Netherlands Antilles, was fashion struck two weeks ago.
Local designer, Junius Isenia, took the liberty and his effort to create a well put fashion mania and for what i've heard, he succeeded!

The show was held in the International school of the Island in Emmatown.
Local celebrity's such as Tony Castro and Jaire Antonia were models for the Chaos Fashion Show. They even had international model Rick Cruiz walkin for the local artist.

Junius Isenia is planning to do a fashion show every year, and this time even bigger by introducing other designers as well working with them for the fashion show.
Besides the fashion show he is going to open his own boutique, so stay tuned for more.

Note: he designs clothes for men but he damn sure knows how to out put the features of a woman.

SBY; Bigger and Better

Ashlee Janelle Danso; a young woman, entrepreneur.
Someone we will hear alot from, now and in the future.

Last year, she started this concept where she wanted to help others create and perfect their (clothing) style.
In the form off workshops, she teaches you every aspect in fashion.
And let me tell you, she achieved more then just being a house hold name. People actually follow her and are already signing applications for the next course to come in 2012.

December 17th, she will have her second "final" presentation and it's going to be good.
More models, more fashion, more people, more greatness..

Let's talk about the man behind it all:
- 4shobangers (the name itself);
- BANG!N (the radioshow);
- 4shobangers ( the website and the rest).
You can simply conclude that this man created a golden platform filled with greatness.
The creater needs to be hailed on his birthday and exactly THAT happend today.

A special edition of BANG!N took place, earlier today, with guests appearing like Barkie, TB and Jhorano, Giory Hossel, Young Cashino, etc. Longside artists also guests like DJ Jah and other friends came to celebrate maaah n#$%%@'s birthday.

The vibe was nice but what else do you expect if there are more then 3 bottles of Henny and Joseph Guy's on the table. You can conclude that people wasn't pleased when we had to shut down the show after extanded it with 30 minutes.

Because your such a great person for the hiphop scene, (young)artists and me, i hearby, wish you a very nice birthday.
I wish you all the great, subliminal things in life, love and your carreer.

P.S. pictures comin soon

#dret'saproblem

I’m glad to be back.
The last time i’ve posted something was last month and that’s not acceptable.
To make it up to you guys i’ve decided to do an interview on Dret of Dret & Krulle.
He’s in the business for a long time as a member of VLT (Vaderloze Troepen) and is more then a statement in the Dutch hip-hop scene with Dret & Krulle.
Besides his love for music he’s a person who speaks out his mind and is not afraid to stand for something. He has a strong personality but is a very kind person.

So kind that he gladly agreed to answer the following questions:

LJ What does music mean to you? Can you describe this feeling in three words?
DP Emotions, Freedom, Self-reflection
LJ Which artist inspires you the most?

DP It’s not that I have a specific person who inspires me or an inspiration source.
I think that i get my inspiration out of different sorts of Music like hiphop, dubstep, drum n Bass and Grime but also get my influences out of Soul, Rock and odd alternative music.
My friends often call me an odd N**** because i listen to these strange Music styles and actually know them LOL.

LJ When did you start making music?
DP I started making music just for fun and that was in the year 2002
LJ What do you think about the Dutch hiphop scene?

DP To me, it’s a bit stiff. It seems like people are afraid to do their own thing. Everybody just follows up and I think that’s a shame.
LJ I saw the Cypher (101 BARZ). There were great responses on your performance. How does that make you feel?
DP It feels dope getting positive responses on a performance. Especially because i haven’t dropped anything lately. I consider the responses as motivation to make new Music.
LJ What more can we expect from you? Any projects, etc
DP Yess! PARIAZ. Pariaz will come out next month. That is an project in groupform with the support of BijlmerStyle in cooperation with Killing sKills, Gikkels, Kiddo Cee, Mo en Brakko, Don GG en Dret en Krulle. There will come out a new BijlmerStyle 4 which I will feature. Last but not least; you can expect a lot of new things from us (Dret & Krulle) in the year 2012.
LJ What else would you like to share?
DP Just do your thing. Don’t worry about other people. As long as you keep on doing you, everything will be okay. Just keep the fun alive

More of Dret & Krulle? Check out my blog offcourse

Name: Nicole Bus
Event: album release party
Album: Heart of the matter

Peak of our mountains

I proudly present to you, an upcoming talent... The resolution of our youth and the front woman of the new love generation.. I'm talking about Nicole Bus, the winner of last years GPVN!!!!!

I had the priviledge to be a part of an historical moment in this century..
This young lady had given away more then just a album release party on the 14th of this month. She put on an astonished, well established but extremely professional performance.
The band ,she brought along, carried her voice and did her more then justice..

Although i knew she could sing, i got chills all over my arms starting from the first note.
I even catched myself staring with my mouth wide open LOL..

Her album - the heart of the matter- is an "easy going" album..
Each and every lyric has a particular meaning/message and i love it.

Go buy it!!! <3

p.s for more pictures off the event, check out http://keyshcapturedit.blogspot.com/

European swagg

The music world has been strongly dominated by European DJ's, lately.
Music wise, The Netherlands earned a (fair) spot on the map with big names representing us like; Armin van Buren, Tiesto, Afro Jack and Dj Chuckie.

The mainstream is House and that is what we keep up seeing and hearing in new songs. It seems like y'all Americans can't get enough from it (LOL)
Head runners (for me) are artists like lovely Rihanna and the oh so gorgious Kelly Rowland.
Both of them did songs with a house twists but these two songs for me deserve a spot on my blog..

Rihanna is an house hold name and i love her. Her swag is amazing, very trendsetting and edgy. Her outfits screams "i don't give a f*ck" and she can't stop making these hits!
Her latest song - We Found Love - has been received with open arms and is already going up in the charts ( what else did we expect)
The vid for this song is very appropriate and comes to justice.

I love it, love the song and it's a defenit clubbanger.

Kelly Rowland is a role model to me..
Young, black, beautifull, smart and sooo amazing.
She can sing like no other and so seductive on a classy way.
Miss Rowland is well known when it comes to house music.
She made a few hits that had the house sound and i very much liked it.
This song (and vid) caught my eye this morning, so i thought it would be nice, sharing this with y'all..

Enjoy..

SLDRVS

Besides the fact that my girl is having a secret crush on 'm ( i wont place your name on the internet, LOL), this man is making major moves and i simply adore his "rap"swagg!
I'm talking about ADONIS (ikkebensickerthen)..

I was browsing on the internet ( S/O to 4shobangers.com) and i bumped into this new posted vid of Adonis.. I was instantly in love..

You'd be the judge ..
#wegoingup

#occupy the world

Begin the month September, the people of New York witnessed a protest at Wallstreet, which was plunged in to the name #occupyWallstreet.
Now, what had to be a peacefull protest, clearly turned out to be a clash between the protestors and NYPD..
The police officers went hard on these people. Luckly for us, Youtube excists.

One particular vid drawed my attention though: a police officer sprayed pepperspray in the faces of 3 women who were cornerd ( and couldn't do anything, anyway), sudden walks away and leaving the 3 women dazzled on the floor..

Now, here in Amsterdam we do things differently #occupyAmsterdam
The Stocksquare ( beursplein) has been occupied by protestors to and i'm glad that this protest is going peacefully.
A lot of people gattered around the square and have been putting up tents.
There are activities planned for everyday and open assemblies for everyone.

Note:
#occupy is not a part of a organisation.
Everyone participates with other beliefs. What makes this protest strong is that the people are not just individuals anymore. They form a pact, a unity, an generation with positive beliefs..
So therefore i will participate as well, because my voice is needed

So for those who are standing in the rain right now, making music and shouting out at the police? A big shoutout to you...

Assignment : Video "tranen"
By Q-Jones
model: Amber

For info or questions, feel free to send me an email ..

#bundleofjoy

Last weekend was all about make-up, make-up, music and ...  make-up.
I had a few assignments and let me tell you ..  Rain or no rain? On every set the positive energy was more than present.

The first assignment i had was for the upcoming talent; Q-Jones.He is my longtime friend and i simply adore the fact that after 14 years we still hang out.
Besides his love for ink and soccer, he "secretly" developed this craving for music and decided -at one point- to turn this hobby into an music carreer. This saturday his first "official" video took place in his own neighbourhood. Although the weather was bad, he and his crew managed to finish the "shootings".

I took the liberty ( and his spare time) to do a quick interview, wich follows below:

LJ: What does music mean to you? Can you describe this feeling in three words?
QJ: Faith, Strength, Life
LJ: Which artist inspires you the most?
QJ: Drake and the Dutch rapper "Bollebof". These male artists don't rap about crappy #$%& or B&^%$# and money. There lyrics have a message, you could practice in life.
LJ: When did you decide to make music a serious part in your life?
QJ: I decided to make music a serious part of my life when i saw that it kept me of the streets. Further more, making music is such a great tool to express your feelings. I've been through alot and in this way i can devine myself. It also strenghtens me and the people who surround me.
LJ: Why did you choose to shoot this video?
QJ: The last couple of years i lost many friends. Some of them are depressed and i felt the pain that they where carrying. So i decided to write a song about these things. My message through this video is to never give up on life, no matter how hard it can be, somethimes.
LJ: What does the song mean (to you)?
QJ: Never give up on life and keep your friend base small because at the end of the day your all by yourself.
LJ: What more is there to come? Any projects, etc?
QJ: I'm about to start a mixtape just to show my fans that i'm around. I'm busy with new songs and videos that comes along. In 2012 i will perform in different places, more to be continued... ;)
LJ: What else would you like to share?
QJ: I just want to say that everything in this life is possible. Chase your dreams, do what you want to do but do it with your heart, so it will come to pass. Let God lead you in all your ways, pray for forgiveness everyday and be good to everybody. Even the negative people who also surround you and want to see you not succeed.

Adding to the interview:
The song is called tranen. The videorelease will be on wednesday..
For more of that visit my blog (LOL)

I wish you success and strength in this tuff bussiness! If u believe in this, you will succeed <3

Chico, Cali Baby!

My dear friend Osborne ,also known as OsB (to me LOL), deserves a spot on my blog this week.

He took a leap of faith and went all across the ocean to do something a lot of us would wish or dream about.
He's attending school in California for three months and i'm so proud of him...
Eventhough he's not here i still witness alot of things that he's doing by looking at his pictures and his hi-la-rious tweets.

I was talking to him this mornin and out of the conversation, one thing was clear to me.
He has a winners mentality and his mind set was put on sharp!
Offcourse he's having fun, laying passed out on the sofa and witnessing "tittie flashes" constantly but when it comes to serious business, he's literally on it.

His Quote: " We live in a world where the domestic majority is white" "So being black u need to take the advantage of staying true and G'd up and still being able to switch it up and show them u is schooled as a @#*!!"

I can't waith for him to come back..
Better bring my Chico Hoodie, though (LOL) <3

Ocean's #fail

One of my nicest discoveries in 2011 is Frank Ocean..

He's a very talented young brother with a lot of knowledge in his lyrics..
Hyped up by his hit "novacane" and more, i was craving for his show to take place in #amsterdam

My girl @Ms_Dani called me up yesterday, to confirm that he was actually coming and that i needed to check it out immediatly. Not even 5 minutes later she called me back with the dissapointing announcement that not only is he coming! His show was sold out within 2 and a half hours!..

I could not believe it, so i called the venue, Bitterzoet.
The man who was working there confirmed the fact with a big laughter (@ssh#le) and hung up one me, because i still was in shock.

So, Frank if you ever get the change to visit and actually read my blog before the 8th of November?
There are 2 girls in Amsterdam who are dying for tickets, to see you! (urgent message lol)

Droppin bombs on BANG!N #1

I love the fact that i'm surrounded by creative and most important TALENTED people. That keeps me strongly motivated and always on the positive side of life.

This week is in token off representing my people and therefore giving them their moment of fame (not that they don't have that already lol)

Last tuesday, i've witnessed a true legendary moment.

BANG!N radio, hosted by @4shobangerscom had it's first anniversary and offcourse my main man celebrated it in STYLE! The atmosphere was incredible and liqour was richely poured.
The host had big names appearing like Adonis (sloddervosgang), Rotjoch (101barz), Dret (Dret & Krullen), Innecent (F&F), Kalibwoy, Hydroboyz & Greengang!
All these artists got interviewed quickly and dropped some freestyles or new songs coming up ( you know where u heard those first!)

It was a defenit success wich was made clearly because a two hour session wasn't enough.

I gladly like to congratulate 4SHO on his success. This young man is, as what i call it, an example for/to all young'ns who have a dream! He had a dream, pursued it and is now livin (off) it.

With his radioshow he gave what AMSTERDAM craved for, what Amsterdam needed.. Screw that what (dutch) hip-hop needed!.. He created a platform for young, talented brothers and sisters with a voice. We thank you for that.
So herefore, i'll raise my glass and have a toast on you babe!

p.s Missed the anniversary? Check out http://www.4shobangers.com/ to listen back and for more urban news!

The city of ink

Me and my Gal (@ms_Dani) took a day off, to pursue a carreer as Amsterdam tour Guides LOL.
The time was not on our side so we weren't able to show Melvin Todd, off the famous "the City of Ink crew", all the nice places in our city. Hey, you know what they say: " Time always fly by, when you're having fun ".

Unfortunately, we weren't able to take beautifull pictures of the day. So, y'all have to take my word for it.
It keeps dazzling me, how little i know about my own city.

All the time Melvin was "wauwing" about Amsterdam, i was joining him most of the time.
The "tour" contained a healthy dose of art ( pop-up art by an artist who's name i don't remember anymore :(), we walked by a few monuments, ate pizza and pasta at the famous Vapiano's and most important: enjoyed the lovely weather, Amsterdam gave us! ( Melvin, you where lucky)

p.s. next time Daan and I will get a Loveless tattoo!
#painislove

dubble p.s. Daan should get paid for being a tour guide. She knows Amsterdam like .. i can't even explain #loveyou

Cruelty VS Justification?

While we're enjoying our last "summer" days long side a delicious detoxing drink (pro-green lol) and having fun with our close friends and relatives; on the other side of the world, there's some serious cruelty going on.

Not only do I believe in justice, i actually live it.
I see myself, having my own lawfirm, defending the victims and helping the world to become a "better place" to live in. However, what we as "public" have seen happening the last few weeks, made me question the justice-system.

#TroyDavis has been executed last week, after being inprisoned for over 20 years.
To make a long story short. There wasn't enough evidence to go through with the execution, but the state of Georgia insisted to go on with the execution and denied the clemency at the last moment.
The inspiring last words of Troy " you can take my body, but you can't take my spirit" & "the fight hasn't start with me and will not end without me" , made me realise that we lived a moment of history.

To think that such a blurry and sloppy way of "handling business" wont occure, another execution was planned.
#ManuelValle has also been executed, yesterday after a two hours delay. Realise that this man has been inprisoned for an embarrasing 33 years!

Both of these man where executed for the "same crime" (killing a police officer) and they both got a lethal injection!

As i was saying earlier. I believe in justice but this is a primitive way of punishing someone.
Besides the primitive way of punishment, i feel that both local authorities failed in there duties and just repudiate all responsibilities. Being locked up for 20 to 33 years and after that still being executed as beyond cruel. Notifying that evidence is key.. If there is a big question mark, hangin "above" the evidence, then why are we punishing?

I'm deeply in shock of this and i hope that we will keep protesting around the world to stop these cruel ways of punishments.
Let this be an eye-opener for the governments. "The world is watching you"

Dare to kiss

As the foggy winter awaiths us, fashion gives us a free pass to keep the summer feeling going.
Bold and edgy colours for the lips is what it's all about this fall/winter.

I've seen a lot - as how i call it- Caribbean colours like: orange, pink and purple but also a lot of Vampy colours such as dark brown, dark purple, red and even black.
What stays my favorite are the nude lips. Luckely for  me, that also stays a fashion mark!

I'm a huge lipgloss- and stick addict so it wont come as a surprise if i tell you that i have all these colours ( and more hihihi)..

Now, for those who never wore edgy colours on the lips:
Make sure your lips are dry. Not to dry or else your lips will get flakes and that's a "no no"
Create a shape for your lips by using a lippencil. After that, fill in between the created shape.
Who said you could'nt have "catwalk" lips.
Tip for more edgyness: use another colour lippencil then the lipstick.. When it blends together, it creates a explosive effect..

Soon a "tutorial" in the how to...
